   Keep lips moisturised; use a gentle lip scrub weekly beforehand

   Apply SPF to your lips in the weeks before and after

   No retinol or vitamin A near the lip area for 1 month

   Reschedule if you have a cold sore; stop antivirals 48 hours before

   No alcohol or aspirin in the 24 hours before; tell Kseniia if you take anticoagulants

Looking after it

• Lips will feel sore, swollen and tender for up to 24 hours - completely natural
• Gently pat with clean paper towels and apply the provided ointment frequently
• Drink through a straw; avoid kissing and messy, spicy or oily food for 72 hours
• From day 3 the pigment may scab and peel - never pick; let it fall naturally
• Fading around days 7-10 is normal healing
• Full healing takes about 4 weeks; inconsistencies are usual at first
• The perfecting session corrects any asymmetry in the healed result
